Different ways to get more rewards on credit cards

Credit card companies offer rewards to users when they use their card; as a cardholder, you can get rewards for small payments and transactions, but there are a few ways to get more rewards on your credit cards:

Choose your credit card wisely:

If you are a wanderlust, you should apply for credit cards that offer cashback on flights or hotels; you should choose credit cards that offer a minimum payoff of 1.5% on every payment.

Do not choose a credit card that offers rewards that are not useful to you. It might seem like a money saver, but when you spend a certain fixed amount within a time limit, you might end up spending all your money for a small reward.

So do your research before getting one.

Minimum Spend reward:

When you apply for a credit card, make sure they offer a reward bonus for a minimum spending value, this value is the amount you must spend when you apply and use your card for the first time. The minimum spending limit is always set low by banks so that you can start spending.

Applying for the card at the right time:

Banks have offers during certain months when they give extra reward points to their users, check your bank’s policy to know more about this period as it varies from banks to banks, you could receive 10-15 thousand reward points if you apply for a credit card during particular months; usually, they are August, November, and December.

Redeem your Rewards regularly:

A major mistake many credit users make is that they accumulate their rewards over a period, thinking they might redeem it all-together, this tends to happen with airlines and hotel reward points. What happens here is, banks increase their rewards using points over a time period. This reflects on your reward points, and even though you have higher reward points, they’re not that valuable anymore.

A one-third of total users don’t even use their rewards points; it’s better to keep checking your reward points and use them on time.

CashBack offers:

Cashback offers are always handy and beneficial for users; you can receive high cashback rewards with the right credit card; online shopping provides high cashback returns than any other purchase.

Your credit card’s policy determines your rewards, and you must choose which gives higher rewards.
